To adjust needle packing, pull back trigger and while holding the trigger, tighten the packing nut until when you release the trigger, the needle does not move. Then release the trigger and slowly loosen the packing nut until the needle snaps to the tip of the nozzle. If the packing nut is too loose, fluid will leak from the packing nut. If the packing nut is too tight, the needle will bind and fluid will spray continuously when you release the trigger.
